Coffee Break

Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end…Ecclesiastes 3:11.  Coffee Break begins again on January 17th.  Please join us as we begin a new year to study God’s Word and ponder His ways.  Whether or not we understand it, our times are in His hands.  He has purposes and plans for today that are beyond our ability to grasp.  Like the under-side of the tapestry, weaving color and thread together, one day He will make all things beautiful, “In His Time”.  Meet us weekly on Tuesday mornings in the Atrium from 9:15 – 11:30 for continental breakfast, great worship, quality Bible teaching, fellowship and prayer support.  No matter where you’re at in your spiritual journey, there is a place for you to belong at Coffee Break.  Childcare is provided for all preschool children at no cost.  Questions?  Call Fran or Ava at the Church Office.  No sign-up is necessary.

We will be finishing the study of the book of Matthew.   Last fall we started this exciting study and began to walk along with the Rabbi.  It has been an amazing journey and now we will continue on.  Whether or not you began this journey last fall, you will be blessed to join us.  We will all get new workbooks to begin together.  Cost of workbooks is $23.  You will not only join this amazing study, but you will learn the exciting Inductive Bible Study Method and grow in skills that will enable you to go into any book of the Bible and do an independent, comprehensive study of God’s Word.  Please join us for food, fellowship and fun as we study Matthew part 2 and walk along with the Rabbi.  Childcare is provided for all preschool children at no cost.  We will meet weekly on Thursday mornings in the Atrium from 9:15 – 11:30, beginning January 12th and continuing through March 8th.

Daniel: Lives of Integrity, Words of Prophecy

Meet us every other Monday night from 7 – 9, resuming January 9th.  The prophet Daniel faced unbelievable pressures to compromise his faith, to live in a hostile culture, and to confront temptations and threats. Today, believers in Jesus Christ face many of the same trials.  This Old Testament Bible study falls in two parts. The first portion, from Daniel chapters 1-6, deals with Daniel's life as he faced the kind of pressures and temptations Christians encounter today. Daniel models how to develop enduring integrity in an enticing world. The second portion, chapters 7-12, explores thrilling prophecies from the time of Daniel through the second coming of Jesus Christ.  Join us in a faith-building study of prophecy and learn how to live with integrity in today's self-absorbed society.

Option 1) The Me I Want to Be:  Becoming God’s Best Version of You, By John Ortberg.  Cost of book is $12.  As God helps you grow, you will change, but you will always be you.  An acorn can grow into an oak tree, but it cannot become a rose bush.  It can be a healthy oak or it can be a stunted oak.  Likewise, God did not create you to be anybody else but YOU!  Here is good news: When you flourish, you become more you – that person God had in mind.  God wants to redeem you, not exchange you!  Join us and grow in becoming God’s best version of you.  Questions?  Call Fran or Ava at the church office.
