Life Groups are an essential part of body life at Moraine Valley Church. Can you imagine walking through life with a group that is devoted to God, His Word and to one another? You were not created to be isolated, but for meaningful relationships. Fulfilling relationships are actively committed to care deeply, to share honestly, and to grow in trust of one another. Life Groups provide an environment where we can pour into the lives of one another as we are being transformed into the likeness of Christ in a small group setting:

Financial Peace University (FPU)
This class is designed to teach you and your family how to get out of debt, stay out of debt, and build wealth. You'll meet with your class each week to watch the video lesson and participate in discussion and accountability groups that will change your whole attitude about money! Dave Ramsey breaks through the common financial jargon and explains how money really works in a simple, easy-to-understand style. You'll actually have fun as you learn about saving, budgeting, investing, insurance and more!
Celebrate Recovery - Beginning again on January 8, 2010
The Bible clearly states "all have sinned". It is our nature to sin. None of us is untainted. Because of sin, we've all hurt ourselves, we've all hurt other people, and others have hurt us. This means each of us needs repentance and recovery in order to live our lives the way God intended. What we need is a biblical and balanced program to help people overcome their hurts, habits and hang-ups. This is what Celebrate Recovery is. Based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory, this recovery program is unique and is effective in helping people change. This group meets on Friday nights. No advance notice is required, just come. Jeff Janulis facilitates this group.
Divorce Care A thirteen week support group providing help and healing for the hurt of separation and divorce. Don't go through separation or divorce alone. Divorce Care meets weekly to face the issues and challenges surrounding separation and divorce, assisting people to move towards rebuilding their lives. - return to top
Grief Share
GriefShare is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are grieving the death of someone close to them. Each session includes a video seminar and group discussion. A workbook assists in note taking, journaling and grief study. The videos feature top experts on grief recovery, dramatic reenactments and real-life stories. During the group time we’ll interact about the video, workbook and our experiences. This group has been meeting every Friday at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to join the group at any time.
