Production Director | Part Time
This
position is open to someone who has a heart for ministry and experience
in the A/V tech field. This person will help oversee the A/V tech
needs for our weekend worship gatherings and all of our major holiday
productions. In working closely with the worship director, the
Production Director will help to facilitate the admistrative needs of
our tech ministry and work closely with volunteers. This person is
expected to be a member of Moraine Valley Church and have an ability to

Custodial Needs
An on-going need, and the time needed is somewhat flexible, is the
need for someone to help us maintain the carpeting. The only training
necessary will be in learning how to run the machine.
Substitute Receptionists (2 needed) to fill in when regular receptionists are not available. Basic computer knowledge, typing skills, and a pleasant phone voice are needed for this ministry. Training is available to supplement basic skills. This ministry opportunity is on an as needed basis.
Media Ministry (2 needed) is in need of two friendly and outgoing people on Sunday mornings to assist in the receiving and processing of orders for CD's & DVD's. This ministry opportunity has immediate openings and training will be provided on the use of duplication of CD's & DVD's.
Communion Preparation Team – (4 needed) to prepare communion elements on the Saturday morning prior to the worship service on the 1st Sunday of the month [on-going ministry opportunity as part of a team on a quarterly schedule] and be available for clean-up following the service. Some training needed.
Levite Ministry – (3 needed) to be part of a rotating team [quarterly schedule] of people that replenishes offering envelopes and pencils [during business hours Tuesday – Friday] to assist the body in their worship of the Lord. Ability to climb stairs necessary. Some training.
Marketing/Publicity (1 needed) to head up the publicity effort here at church. This would be a long term opportunity to work with Jim Jacobsen in coordinating efforts to publicize the events and ministries of Moraine Valley Church. Someone who is a skilled writer and has experience in the area of publicity and marketing. If this person had a communications or journalism background that would be a real plus. Training would preferably not be necessary because they already know what they are doing. Understanding of how to maximize the impact with minimal funding is important.
Research assistants for Pastor Pat Peglow (5-6) are needed for sermon and sermon series background info, current cultural trends, illustrations, stories, topical studies on issues relevant to sermons and series. This ministry can occur off-site
Typing assistants for Pastor Pat Peglow (1-2) are needed to type various notes taken from handwritten or handouts and put into Microsoft Word Program. This ministry can occur off-site.
Filing assistant for Pastor Pat Peglow (1) is needed once every other month to organize files. Desirable skills include: Reading, study, organizational, Web, typing, research [as related to specific ministry opportunity]
