Janet is Executive Director of Interaction and also Director of Educational Services. In these dual roles she provides educational networking for missionary children worldwide, counsels parents on educational choices, and provides assistance for missionaries who use home schooling, national schools or other educational resources to educate their children. By providing seminars, training, resources, and publications, Interaction helps teens and adults with transition issues and educational challenges that come from growing up overseas.
George is the Managing Director at LRI. He is responsible for the day to day operations of the Global Ministry Center located next to our church. George supervises a great support staff that works behind the scenes to ensure that our International Training staff has the resources it needs to implement our Training National Training (TNT) programs worldwide. George and Deb have been part of the MVC family for over 30 years.
Mary does friendship evangelism, small group Bible studies, and discipleship with students at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Many of these students will return to strategic positions of leadership in government, business and education in China.
Don is Program Director for the Far East Russia TNT training of pastors. Pray that God will be glorified in the existing Russian TNT training and in the new groups to be formed. Don and his wife, Sharon, have been long time members here at Moraine.
Dave is the Director of Camp Beechpoint. Lori serves as Health Services Director and Camp Nurse. She also disciples teen girls with the camp’s Partners in Discipleship program.
The Hemphills serve in Tlapa and Zoquitlan (Guerrero, Mexico) on a language development and Bible translation project with the Me’paa people group. They seek to analyze the Me’paa language, create a system for writing it, and develop beginning literacy materials to teach people to read their language. The ultimate goal is to produce a translation of the New Testament that the local church can use to reach people in their heart language. Aaron and Christy have 3 children (Jennalie, Braeden, and Marissa).
Serving at the Agape Center in Roseland, Marc & Sandy help to empower urban churches in Chicago through resources and training to reach the city. Marc serves as a co-director for the Chicago staff team. One of his primary roles is to help churches start “S.A.Y. Yes” centers, an after-school discipleship ministry for youth. Sandy resources their ministry partners with evangelism tools and serves as a mentor for several women in urban ministry. They live in Roseland and have shared their home with individuals with whom they have discipling/mentoring relationships.
Tim is LRI’s HR Manager. He has worked on implementation and staff training on new management and financial systems software and donor database cleanup and data conversion. Tim has 22+ years of non-profit administration and management experience. At MVC Tim has served on Elder and Deacon Boards, in worship ministry, and as volunteer Audio technician. Tim and Mary live in Chicago with their son, Sam.
Bruce & Paula moved to the Texas/Mexico border in the fall of ’07 and joined Mexico Missions, Inc. to help facilitate outreaches to the colonias with groups from all over the USA. Their mission is to reach the poorest of the poor in Reynosa, Mexico. They build homes, offer food and clothing to those in need, but most importantly, they share the love and hope that is found in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ron and Karen are committed to communicating the Gospel to the lost in their language and to motivating and equipping believers to communicate Christ to the lost in their world. Using contemporary approaches to “spiritual rescue”, they seek to impact “hard-to-reach hearts” through the “A Word with You” radio broadcast, ANewStory.com web outreach, and the “On Eagles’ Wings” outreach to Native American youth.
Bill & Karen founded LRI in 1970 and are still working full time in the ministry. Bill is presently Director of Russia and Central Asia for our TNT (Training National trainers) ministry. He also teaches Bible conferences in the developed world, focusing on the US, Australia, Singapore and England. Karen handles LRI finances and assists Bill and George Bowater.
Craig is the President of LRI. He gives overall leadership to the ministry, develops staff, teaches in the USA and overseas, and helps launch pastoral training movements (TNT) worldwide. These are in areas where there is a critical lack of training opportunities and resources. Craig and Louise live in Chicago.
David is the Production Coordinator for LRI. With the growth of the ministry over the past 25 years, he has transitioned from printing LRI’s books and materials to overseeing and outsourcing all production work. David insures that the proof of the deliverable meets LRI’s expectations before he allows it to go to press. As well as working with desktop publishing, he produces all in-house materials and publications. David and Theresa also enjoy serving at Moraine.
Jim pastors a church in Hot Springs, Montana. He also directs a training ministry for rural pastors and church leaders. Through conferences and the internet Jim helps many of these leaders who serve in small isolated communities. Jim also directs the Pathwalkers Ministry (kid’s club) through club meetings and a summer camp.
Kirk serves in the U.S. Navigators’ Ethnic Ministries helping ethnic staff reach men and women for Christ. He is part of the Executive Team for the African American Ministries working to advance the Gospel in African American communities and on historically Black colleges and universities. Kirk also mentors and disciples for Christ about 50 African American men from Chicago and NW Indiana.
After years in Indonesia and European leadership, Tom is now the US Field Director and US Senior Vice-President of Navigators. Overseeing about 700 Nav staff, Tom is excited to bring leadership to the entire US ministry as well as International Students, immigrants and refugees. Dana continues speaking to women’s groups and discipling women. The Yeakleys live in Colorado Springs.
Vic is the food service manager at Frontier Ventures. Vic’s ministry focus is to encourage staff, students, and conference guests by providing quality food service. Quality food service is important for the health and the overall well-being of missionaries. It would be difficult for front-line missionaries to be effective without the support that people like Vic provide. Vic and Laurie live in California.
John oversees many accounting and bookkeeping operations with SIL International-Wycliffe’s partner organization. He assures that project and ministry funds are available for use by Bible translators and partner agencies to meet their project goals. Luci serves as Managing Editor and Projects Manager for SIL’s global communications. She oversees the writing and production of PR materials describing the organization’s activities and partnerships for use by government relations staff.
Bob teaches youth ministry at a college in Cebu City, Philippines and trains and mentors youth workers throughout the central islands. Debbie will assist with administration and publications at the school.
Ed & Jan are linguists who spent many years living in Indonesia with the Tabaru, learning the language of this jungle people and translating the New Testament into their language. Now based in the US and working via internet/satellite connection, they continue to work with the Tabaru and 3 other language groups to translate the Old Testament into their languages. Ed and Jan also travel overseas to help train nationals in Bible translation and to check and approve translated Scriptures in languages of SE Asia.
Craig is a team leader for Pioneers in Poland. He and Carol Lynn teach English as a way to create relationships with people to share the Gospel. They work in youth ministry, food distribution to the poor, and outreach to the Gypsy Roma community. Craig also works with local church leadership in training, teaching, and unifying outreach to his city and outlying towns where there are no evangelical churches. The Rucins have 2 children, Andrew and Katya.
