WORLD CHANGERS — Transformation is Our Destination

We believe our world is changed one life at a time. Every life matters. Every moment is an opportunity. We are sent ones (missionaries) bringing the love, life and truth of Jesus to our community.

We are transformed people, who God has changed for the sake of the world! Join us today in asking God to continue to make us bold lovers of God so that those in our everyday lives might also be impacted by the love, life and truth of Jesus.

Matthew 22:37-40 (NIV) “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind’ this is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Ask God to continue to grow and deepen our love for the Lord and one another at MVC for His glory!

Luke 10:36-37 (NIV) “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?” The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him” Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

Join us in asking God to transform us into people who see the real and eternal needs of those around us each day and who stop and love as Jesus would if he were in our place.

Matthew 5:14, 16 (NIV) You are the light of the world…let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Pray for the people of MVC to shine brightly among their loved ones, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and community so that those who are far from Jesus might come to see how great He is and believe on His name to the glory of God.

John 5:17 (NLT) But Jesus replied, “My Father is always working, and so am I.”

Pray with us that God would open the eyes of every person in our church to how He is at work in their midst right now today, so that we might join Him in the work He is doing!

Romans 1:16 (ESV) For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Ask God to deepen our faith at MVC, that we might believe what Jesus has done really is good news for the world, might believe that news is really powerful to save others, and might declare it fearlessly and without shame to those around us.

Colossians 4:3-6 (NIV) And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ…Pray that I may proclaim it clearly…make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Pray for someone you know by name that doesn’t know Jesus that God would open their hearts to Him, open up an opportunity to share and open your mouth to do so!

2 Corinthians 5:15 (NIV) And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

Thank God for dying for you and giving you new life! Pray that we would be transformed more and more into people who no longer live for ourselves but for God’s purposes, loving as He loves and seeking His Kingdom first!

2 Corinthians 5:19-20 (NIV) God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us.

Thank God for including us in His ministry of reconciling the world to Him in Jesus. Pray for those in our church to be bold ambassadors for Christ who are full of grace and truth!

John 3:16 (ESV) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

Join us in asking the Lord to put His love in us for the people in our lives that don’t know Jesus, that very same love that caused Him to send Jesus to save the world.

Acts 1:8 (ESV) “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Thank God for the power He gives us in the Holy Spirit to tell others about Him. We don’t have to do that in our own strength! Pray that the people of MVC would be Spirit empowered to share the hope of Jesus with others.

Psalm 105:1 (NLT) Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.

Join us in asking God to make us a people who are infatuated with Him! Pray that we would rejoice in the things that God has done, and that praise and speaking His greatness would overflow into our everyday normal conversations.
