MISSION DRIVEN — Mission is Why We Exist

We believe that we carry the hope of Jesus to the world. We have been placed in our community for the sake of others. When each of us play our part families are strengthened, the hurting are healed, the lost are found and our community is blessed.

The Lord has so faithfully and richly blessed us at MVC and commissioned us to carry the hope of Jesus to the world. Join us today in prayers asking God to continue to bless us so that we may have an even greater impact on others to the glory of God!

Psalm 67:1-2 (NIV) May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us — so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations.

Join us in asking God to continue to bless us and make Himself known to us so that we might make Him known throughout the world!

Ephesians 1:3 (NLT) All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.

Thank God for giving us every spiritual blessing and uniting us with Jesus. Pray that His blessing would overflow from the people of MVC to others around us.

2 Corinthians 9:8 (NIV) And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

Thank the Lord for the power and resources He gives us. He is the one who gives us what we need in order to abound in the good works He has planned for us as a church! Pray that we might continue to depend upon Him.

2 Timothy 1:7-8 (NLT) For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord.

Thank God for giving us the gift of His Holy Spirit. Pray with us that God would fill His church with His Spirit so that we might bring the hope of Jesus to those around us!

2 Corinthians 9:11 (NLT) Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.

Thank God for providing for our needs at MVC. Pray that He would make us generous givers and bless us financially so that we might meet the spiritual and everyday needs of others in Jesus’ name!

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NLT) All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.

Pray for those you know in need of comfort. Pray that God would transform us into people who readily comfort others as God has comforted us.

Zechariah 8:13 (CEV) People of Judah and Israel, you have been a curse to the nations, but I will save you and make you a blessing to them. So don’t be afraid or lose courage.

God saved His people so they could bless the nations. Ask God to continue to sanctify us at MVC so that we might have a greater impact in our local communities and where He has scattered us around the world.

1 Peter 2:9 (TPT) But you are God’s chosen treasure — priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world.

Pray for the people of MVC to boldly proclaim what God has done for us to those around us in word and deed!

2 Peter 1:3-4 (NLT) By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.

Thank God for the power He has given us today by His Holy Spirit. Pray for all those in our church to experience that power more fully and to live by the Spirit to the glory of God.

Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Pray with us that at MVC we would be filled with the Spirit so that these fruits might be produced more and more in us in the days to come.

Psalm 67:7 (NIV) May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him.

Join us in asking God to bless us and make MVC a people who excels even more in supporting, raising up and sending out lovers of Jesus throughout the world.
