TOGETHER STRONG — Together is Our Vehicle

We believe we are better together. We are committed to connecting in authentic community where discipleship takes place, burdens are carried and each is spurred on in our next steps with Jesus.

We thank God for each person at MVC. God is the one who shapes this body because we are better together! Join us in praying for the unity and health of our body today. We want to continue to grow in our ability to carry burdens together and help one another take next steps with Jesus.

John 17:20-21, 23 (NIV) “I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. I in them and you in me — so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you have sent me.

Join us in asking the Lord to unify us as a church in mission and love for one another so that others might come to know that Jesus is Lord and Savior.

Galatians 6:2 (ESV) Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Join us in praying that no one would go unnoticed or cared for at MVC. Ask God to make us a people that walk closely together and carry one another’s burdens!

Ephesians 4:16 (NLT) He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

Thank God for each and every person at MVC, for every single one of us has a unique and special work to do so that the others might grow, and we all might love. Join us in asking God to do that in all the ways He desires to through us.

Phil 2:1-2 (ESV) So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.

Pray that we at MVC would so richly know and experience what God has done for us in Jesus that it overflows into the way that we see and act towards one another.

Philippians 2:3-4 (ESV) Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Pray with us that God would make the people of MVC selfless, and that we would regard and serve one another as Christ so joyfully served us.

Colossians 3:12 (NIV) Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Thank God that He has set us apart as holy — we belong to Him and are for His glory and purpose. Pray that God would make us more compassionate, kind, humble, gentle and patient at MVC.

Colossians 3:13 (NIV) Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Join us in asking God to heal the wounds that have been caused to us by others. Pray for us at MVC to be blown away by how God has forgiven us. Pray that we might let go and forgive others in the same way.

Colossians 3:14 (NIV) And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them together in perfect unity.

Pray with us that the Lord would increase our love for one another at MVC. Pray that we would find joy in all those that are a part of our body. Pray that the Lord would remove any wrong thoughts or obstacles that keep us from loving one another.

2 Corinthians 5:16-17 (NIV) So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view…if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

Join us in asking God to help us see and think of one another the way he sees us in Jesus, that God would help us to not judge one another based on performance or conditional love, but rather as made new in Christ and with love unconditionally.

1 Peter 4:10 (NIV) Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

Thank God for the many gifts He has blessed the people of MVC with. Ask Him to pour out His Spirit in even greater ways so that the body of Christ might be built up and encouraged.

Romans 15:5-6 (ESV) May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pray with us that the Lord would continue to unify us and do away with any dissension or division so that God might continue to be glorified as we are one in purpose and love.
