WYCLIFFE BIBLE TRANSLATORS TO INDONESIA - Ed and I just returned from a trip to Indonesia over Christmas and New Years. It was a wonderful time of interacting with the various national teams of translators and encouraging them, giving them some training, listening to their hearts or concerns. Several of the teams are sensitive language groups from the majority religion --they have been through a devastating earthquake. We let them share and weep and we prayed together -and heard testimonies of how God is working in hearts even in this to draw people to Isa Almasih (Jesus Christ).  Ed is overseeing around 14 different language groups translating into their languages and does much travel. This last trip he developed DVT (Deep Vein thrombosis) and ended up in the emergency room following our trip... A few weeks after that we ended up taking his 93 year old mom in to live with us, as she wasn't safe where she was. It has been quite a challenge as she has Alzheimers and we are praying for wisdom for the long haul, but so grateful to have this chance to assess her needs and live and love together.

THANK you for praying for us. WOuld you pray as Ed is working on a proposal for two more language groups to begin Bible translation -and they would like to have the JEsus Film as well.

  • Jim and Mary Hunter

    Jim and Mary Hunter

Jim is serving as a lead elder in a small Bible Church in Hot Springs Montana. His shepherding in the same location for the past 30 years has helped to transformed this congregation from a typical spectator / consumer church into a band of missionary brothers.  An extension of this same spiritual leading  brings Jim to small rural churches in  Montana and Idaho with customized seminars and workshops in Spiritual Leadership, Hermeneutics and Teaching/Preaching. But the best loved ministry has been to maintain and promote purposeful spiritual life relationships between men and women in one-on-one teams that we call "2-Gether" partnerships.  2-Gether partnerships are characterized as spiritually hungry pilgrims hiking with each other as they follow Jesus through life. Mari is kept busy being "Gammy" to two (soon to be three) grandsons, leading music in our church services and being Jim's counselor, partner, comforter and prayer cover.
